Raised in Oahu, Hawaii, Nick moved as far east possible In order to study Music Business at Berklee College of Music (just in time to experience one of Boston’s most brutal winters dating back 140 years). Nick found himself involved in the Music Business Club, learning the ins and outs of major record labels, as well as playing and performing in bands around the greater Boston area. Working part-time at REI also provided some boots on the ground retail and visual marketing experience. After Graduating, Nick moved back to Hawaii to help start a recording studio with with local artist Johnny Helm. In between studio and surf sessions, Nick gigged around the island at local clubs and venues.
Recently relocating to Vancouver, WA, Nick started his adventure with GTMA looking to grow his partnership skills through building communities and empowering people to be brand advocates. Nick believes that effective communication doesn’t just happen when pen meets paper, rather it is built across a broad spectrum of skills. It necessitates a comprehensive mix of creative leadership, innovative conceptual vision, and the ability to evaluate and analyze what drives consumer behavior.
When Nick is not at the GTMA Office you can find him on a mountain, on-stage, surfing, eating dumplings, playing music, skating, listening to a podcast, cycling, running or green thumbing in a garden.
