Pay Range: $65K – $70K

JOB SUMMARY

The WordPress Web Developer should demonstrate at least 5 years of experience working with the other members of the design and development teams to develop, implement, and maintain both front-end and back-end solutions for custom WordPress websites. This includes building themes, plugins, and data integrations that are customized to the needs of the client. Our web developers enjoy plenty of variety and a wide range of projects that include clients from all different market sectors that require custom development projects, as well as site maintenance tasks involving accessibility, speed and performance, and technical SEO. This creative will be able to work on a variety of projects and clients in a timely manner that accurately portrays the client’s brand and provides a desirable user experience to the user base.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Build custom solutions as plugins, or by extending themes
  • Build custom themes to a design and tech spec
  • Build custom data integrations with different API’s
  • Implement solutions to improve site speed and performance
  • Implement solutions to improve a sites accessibility
  • Implement solutions to improve a site’s SEO
  • Understand and synthesize a set of business goals and create thoughtful and scalable solutions
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES may include

  • Become Google Analytics Certified
  • Develop an advanced understanding of conversion optimizing a website using Google Tag Manager and other related analytics platforms
  • Attend GTMA U classes surrounding marketing fundamentals
  • Attending team meetings and company meetings
  • Contribute in a positive way to our company culture

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 5+ years experience with WordPress and related tools required
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of PHP
  • Able to build a custom theme
  • Able to build a custom plugin
  • Competent using and extending WordPress plugins: ACF, Gravity Forms
  • Able to use modern development approaches using things like, Sass, Webpack, npm, composer
  • Proficient with HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP
  • Proficient with Git/Github
  • Personal time management & self motivation
  • Attention to detail & problem-solving skills
  • Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Fluent in English
    Proficient with Apple computers
    Qualified applicants must pass a background check
