Job Title: Director of Digital Media Strategy + Demand Generation

Reports To: CEO

FLSA Status: Exempt

Pay Range: $70k – 85k/annually

 

The Director of Media Strategy + Demand Generation will serve as our team’s top media strategist managing our lead generation department and will also work with our Brand Team to generate new demand for our agency services and storytelling capabilities.  This is a leadership role with a high degree of influence and communication both within the agency and externally with clients and partners. 

This leader will leverage their technical, analytical and creative expertise to support, expand and optimize digital campaigns across our multi-channel mix. The candidate should also be proactive and strategic about identifying game changing platforms and methods for distributing and amplifying our client’s stories. The ideal leader for this role should possess an extensive background in digital marketing, analytics, and advertising platforms, tools, and methodologies, as well be experienced in leading successful teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

CAMPAIGN STRATEGY 

  • Lead the agency’s media strategy and oversee all platform partnerships
  • Performing high-level client communication focused on positive customer service and including sitting in on calls as necessary and providing ongoing updates 
  • Establish consistent communications with Account Managers (AMs) on all active campaigns within the department
  • Work with Ops to manage a system/Dashboard that keeps track of each client’s campaign objectives, expectations, and GTMA’s performance.
  • Work with Account Services to ensure client expectations are in line with services being provided
  • Be familiar with all GTMA services and know when/how to cross-promote to clients
  • Have and be able to articulate a strategy for every account, that includes big-picture objectives, strength/weakness analysis, goal milestones, and tactics
  • Lead campaign strategy, alongside the leadership team, for the GTMA Brand
    • Contribute to GTMA’s blog; positioning GTMA as a thought leader in our industry

QUALITY CONTROL

  • Ensure your teams are meeting client expectations, completing campaign deliverables, hitting delivery dates, and are prepared for client calls.
  • Monitor/review client calls for training opportunities
  • Clearly define and communicate expectations for performance and quality of all team members in the Media Strategy division
  • Run monthly optimization meetings ensuring teams are delivering optimal performance for clients

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Be a driver of the company’s core values and be an example of GTMA Culture
  • Lead and mentor the managers of the Search & Display and Social Ads teams 
  • Manage all team members within the Search & Display and Social Advertising teams
  • Create performance improvement plans for team members not meeting expectations
  • Work collaboratively with other teams at GTMA (creative services, organic social, SEO, etc.) 
  • Assign out clients to your team and ensure the best use of team resources
  • Assist HR with hiring, performance evaluations, constructive criticism, advancement within the company, discipline, and dismissal

TRAINING

  • Team training, onboarding and running weekly team meetings for continued education and culture building
  • Perform monthly one-on-ones and mentoring for Management within your department and guide team members through their careers at GTMA
  • Research the digital marketing industry & target trends for company application
  • Identifying and developing educational opportunities for GTMA staff via GTMA U

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in the digital marketing industry preferred, 3+ years required
  • A 4-year degree in public relations, marketing, communications, data analytics, or statistics
  • Have an advanced understanding of digital marketing best practices
  • Have an expert understanding of Google Analytics and be certified
  • Have an expert understanding of Google Tag Manager
  • Have an expert understanding of Google Ads and be certified
  • Have an expert understanding of Microsoft Ads
  • Have an expert understanding of the Facebook Ad Platform
  • Have an advanced understanding of ad strategy using YouTube, Gmail Ads, Waze, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, Yelp, Blip, and Rich Media

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Attention to detail & problem-solving skills
  • Leadership experience is a must
  • Above average communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid US driver’s license
  • Proficient with Apple computers
  • Qualified applicants must pass a background check

REASONING DEVELOPMENT:
