Job Title: Account Manager

Pay Range: $45k – $55k/annually

The Account Manager position is a digital marketing role managing client relationships and campaign strategy. This person is charged with overseeing campaign execution and leading marketing strategy across a client base. This involves having an advanced knowledge of digital marketing principles, a complete understanding of what GTMA is capable of, and applying that knowledge to a client’s business. A successful Account Manager must be an effective communicator and possess the ability to both work in and coordinate a group in a team environment. This role requires extensive knowledge of GTMA’s products, services, and pricing as well as an advanced ability to concurrently prioritize and project manage multiple client initiatives and campaigns.

In addition, they are the “face” of GTMA and will occasionally visit communities, travel to events or in-person pitches. They are charged with being able to grow clients’ understanding of GTMA’s capabilities and thereby grow the business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • “Own” client relationships by handling all external communications and internal project management across the entire agency, including all departments and covering all campaign objectives
  • Run point on kickoff calls, monthly calls, face-to-face meetings, and emails
  • Run point on project management of creative service projects via Trello 
  • Build relationships with clients by establishing consistent communication and developing an in-depth understanding of each client’s campaign objectives and expectations
  • Ensure that client expectations are managed and campaign objectives are agreed upon
  • Ensure that GTMA’s digital marketing strategy is communicated clearly 
  • Work with Team Managers to provide data to back up the success of campaigns to both clients and to other GTMA departments internally
  • Communicate new and updated client leasing promotions and specials (per community) to the appropriate internal GTMA specialties
  • Visit on-site with properties as necessary, meet with property managers or leasing staff when available and discuss:
    • Campaigns: how they’re doing, any ideas/suggestions/concerns, etc. 
    • Gather valuable data on who is moving in, occupancy rates, etc. in efforts to adjust strategy and/or suggest different GTMA services 
    • Capture photos/video content to assist the campaign as requested from the GTMA team
    • Attend community events when able


  • Stay up-to-date on all package and pricing updates to GTMA services and products
  • Track potential deals (add-ons, up-sells, cross-sells, etc.) in CRM
  • Consistently inform clients of add-on and/or upgraded products & services by identifying and communicating cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
  • Keep the CRM up-to-date on client relationships, changes in marketing budgets, potential new business, etc.
  • Stay up-to-date on GTMA strategies on each service and consistently assess client campaigns to ensure they are receiving the right services to help achieve their goals
  • Through consistent communication with clients, gather a pulse on the market concerning demand for specific services, emerging technology competitors are providing, trends, etc.


  • Research the digital marketing industry & target trends for company and client application
  • Work collaboratively with all teams at GTMA (Vis Prod, Media Strategy, Digital Marketing, SEO, Reputation Marketing, etc.) 
  • Track and communicate each client community’s phase of development and leasing occupancy rate, and adjust campaign strategy accordingly
  • Create materials for client presentations as needed
  • Build organized notes and historical information for the rest of the team regarding each client account (best practices, client profile(s), preferred resources, brand hashtags, etc.)
  • Ensure quality control on all campaigns published on behalf of your clients


  • 4+ years in the digital marketing industry preferred, 2+ years required
  • A 4-year degree in public relations, marketing, communications, data analytics, or statistics
  • Have an advanced understanding of digital marketing best practices including email marketing, all social networks,  blogging, SEO, PPC, visual production, reputation management, and design
  • Have a basic understanding of how websites are built and CMS’s (i.e. Wix, WordPress, and Squarespace)
  • Experience with digital marketing tools (social platforms, CMS, project management systems)
  • Have a functional understanding of Google Analytics and Google Ads and be certified in both
  • Have a functional understanding of Facebook & Instagram advertising
  • Must have customer service and leadership experience
