GTMA WELCOMES ALEXANDRA WATSON AS DIGITAL MARKETING DIRECTOR

WATSON BRINGS TO GTMA OVER 20 YEARS OF BUSINESS & MARKETING EXPERIENCE  

VANCOUVER, WA - Leading fully-stacked digital marketing agency, GTMA welcomes marketing guru Alexandra Watson as its Digital Marketing Director. In 2019, as GTMA expands its expertise to additional market segments, Watson’s extensive knowledge and management skills bring a new level of collaboration and consistency to the real estate marketing agency.

“Alexandra’s depth of experience in building a digital marketing division at a creative agency will bring a fresh perspective and valuable knowledge to the GTMA team,” said CEO Joshua Swanson. “Her core values as a person match that of the agency in a way that will encourage the growth of management and associates alike as well as drive new and innovative strategies forward.”

Watson joins the team with nearly 25 years of business and marketing experience, including developing and managing a complete digital department for a previously strictly traditional advertising agency. She has also written a book, “Strategic Digital Marketing Survival Manual: A Practical Field Guide for Small Businesses and Startups,” which is available on Amazon.

As a digital media director for seven years, Watson oversaw all digital and social media planning, budgeting, SEM paid search, SEO, display ad buying, content marketing, email marketing, promotions, analytics, and reporting. Watson provided strategic direction to brand launches and planned and managed digital campaign budgets of up to $1.5 million in gross media.

Beginning her career in financial services, Watson quickly worked her way up from call centers to creating custom solutions for special projects within consumer and commercial lending. This project management segued to a position as the regional marketing coordinator for a nonprofit financial ministry in California. As marketing coordinator, her responsibilities included donor communication, training, event coordination, and more.

After moving her family to Texas, Watson received a master’s degree in advertising and started her first digital position at a creative agency. As an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University, she taught upper-division advertising electives on digital strategy and social media marketing. She also developed all course materials, lectures, assignments, and exams.
